BTC Short-Term Holder Supply: 3.86M
How much bitcoin is held by recent buyers โ coins that changed hands within roughly the last six months. This is the fast-moving, more nervous part of the supply. Every point shown is real up to the date on the badge above the chart.
The total bitcoin sitting in coins whose last movement was within about the last six months. It is the exact opposite of the patient-owner figure: the two always add up to the entire supply.
For example, a rise from 4.8 million โฟ to 5.4 million โฟ during a rally means about 600,000 โฟ has moved into newer hands โ more coins that could be sold quickly if the price turns. A **falling** line while the price rises means those coins are ageing into patient hands instead, which has historically been the healthier pattern.
In words: add together every coin-age band under six months โ under a day, a day to a week, a week to a month, one to three months, and three to six months.
Every point on screen is real and complete up to the date on the badge **above** the chart. The outside feed that supplied them is switched off for good; **our own Bitcoin node** โ a full copy of the blockchain that we run ourselves โ is recounting this series from the very first block, and new points resume once that finishes.
The usual industry cut-off is 155 days, but the closest band available here is six months (183 days), so this is slightly broader than the standard measure; the shape of the trend still matches.
Worked out from the same bitcoin-data.com coin-age bands, one point per day, real up to the snapshot date shown. That feed was switched off for good โ no paid key and no purchased history are planned. Safu's own Bitcoin node is rebuilding this history from 2009. Feed no longer used.
