BTC STH / LTH Supply Ratio: 0.238
How much bitcoin sits with recent buyers compared with patient owners. Rising means coins are moving into fast hands; falling means coins are settling into patient ones. Every point shown is real up to the date on the badge above the chart.
Coins that moved within the last 155 days count as recent-buyer supply; coins untouched for longer count as patient supply. This chart is the first divided by the second.
For example, 0.25 means recent buyers hold about a quarter as much bitcoin as patient owners do, so most of the supply is sitting still. A **rising** line means patient owners are handing coins over to newer buyers, which in past cycles happened during rallies as old owners sold into strength.
A **falling** line means the reverse โ coins going quiet, which has filled the long flat stretches between cycles.
In words: the bitcoin held in coins that moved within the last 155 days, divided by the bitcoin held in coins that did not.
Every point on screen is real and complete up to the date on the badge **above** the chart. The outside feed that supplied them is switched off for good; **our own Bitcoin node** โ a full copy of the blockchain that we run ourselves โ is recounting this series from the very first block, and new points resume once that finishes.
The 155-day dividing line is a convention, and coins cross it every day just by getting older, so the ratio drifts even on a quiet day.
bitcoin-data.com (BGeometrics) supplied every point on this chart, and each one is real up to the snapshot date shown. Safu switched that feed off for good because its licence does not let us republish the data, so no newer days and no older days will arrive from it โ no paid key and no purchased history are planned. Safu's own Bitcoin node is re-reading the blockchain from 2009 to rebuild this history. Feed no longer used.
