How much bitcoin has not moved for at least 10 years — the deepest cold storage plus coins whose keys are lost. Every point shown is real up to the date on the badge above the chart.
The number of bitcoins whose last movement on the blockchain was more than 10 years ago. It mixes two kinds of coin that look identical from outside: coins deliberately locked away, and coins nobody can reach any more.
The line grows almost every day, because more coins quietly pass their tenth birthday than get spent. For example, if it reads 3.6 million ₿, then about 18% of every bitcoin in existence has sat untouched for a decade and is realistically not for sale at any price, which shrinks the amount actually available to buy.
A visible drop in this line is rare and means genuinely old coins moved.
In words: count every bitcoin whose last movement on the blockchain happened more than 10 years before that date.
Every point on screen is real and complete up to the date on the badge **above** the chart. The outside feed that supplied them is switched off for good; our own Bitcoin node — a full copy of the blockchain that we run ourselves — is recounting this series from the very first block, and new points resume once that finishes.
It **cannot** separate deliberate storage from coins lost forever, and coins join this group purely by ageing, not by anyone deciding anything.

Safu switched that feed off for good because its licence does not let us republish the data, so no newer days and no older days will arrive from it — no paid key and no purchased history are planned.
