BTC Bitcoin Ancient Supply Growth (10y+): 216.33
The pile of bitcoin untouched for 10 years or more, shown alongside how fast coins are joining it each day. Every point shown is real up to the date on the badge above the chart.
Two things on one chart: the total bitcoin untouched for at least 10 years, and the average number of coins per day crossing that 10-year mark, measured over the last 30 days.
The growth figure tells you how many coins are quietly leaving the tradable pool. For example, 600 โฟ a day crossing the 10-year mark while miners create about 450 โฟ a day means more coins are going dormant than are being created, so the freely tradable supply is shrinking by roughly 150 โฟ a day.
Growth is high when the coins bought a decade earlier were bought in a busy period and then simply left alone.
In words: the total coins untouched for 10 years or more, plus the 30-day average of the daily increase in that total.
Every point on screen is real and complete up to the date on the badge **above** the chart. The outside feed that supplied them is switched off for good; **our own Bitcoin node** โ a full copy of the blockchain that we run ourselves โ is recounting this series from the very first block, and new points resume once that finishes.
Coins join this group purely by getting older, so today's growth reflects who was buying and holding ten years ago, not anything happening now.
bitcoin-data.com (BGeometrics) supplied every point on this chart, and each one is real up to the snapshot date shown. Safu switched that feed off for good because its licence does not let us republish the data, so no newer days and no older days will arrive from it โ no paid key and no purchased history are planned. Safu's own Bitcoin node is re-reading the blockchain from 2009 to rebuild this history. Feed no longer used.
