BTC Long-Term Holder Supply: 16.25M
How much bitcoin is held by patient owners โ coins that have not moved for six months or more. A rising line means coins are settling into hands that rarely sell. Every point shown is real up to the date on the badge above the chart.
The total bitcoin sitting in coins whose last movement was six months ago or longer. History shows coins that old are rarely sold in a panic, which is why they count as the patient side of the market.
For example, a climb from 14.2 million โฟ to 14.6 million โฟ over three months means about 400,000 โฟ moved into hands that have historically held on โ roughly four times every new coin mined in that period, so the freely tradable supply shrank. A **falling** line during a rally means patient owners are selling into the strength.
In words: add together every coin-age band of six months or more, from the six-months-to-one-year band through the ten-years-and-over band.
Every point on screen is real and complete up to the date on the badge **above** the chart. The outside feed that supplied them is switched off for good; **our own Bitcoin node** โ a full copy of the blockchain that we run ourselves โ is recounting this series from the very first block, and new points resume once that finishes.
The usual industry cut-off is 155 days, but the closest band available here is six months (183 days), so this is slightly stricter than the standard measure; the shape of the trend still matches.
Worked out from the same bitcoin-data.com coin-age bands, one point per day, real up to the snapshot date shown. That feed was switched off for good โ no paid key and no purchased history are planned. Safu's own Bitcoin node is rebuilding this history from 2009. Feed no longer used.
