BTC Bitcoin Ancient Supply Decrease (10y+): 22
The days when coins untouched for 10 years or more actually moved, and how many. These days are rare. Every point shown is real up to the date on the badge above the chart.
How much bitcoin left the 10-year-untouched group on a given day โ meaning coins that had sat still for a decade were finally moved.
Most days show zero or close to it. A bar means somebody woke up a very old wallet.
For example, a bar of 1,500 โฟ means coins worth roughly $165 million at a $110,000 price, untouched since before 2016, moved in a single day โ that is genuinely unusual and normally makes news. Clusters of such days have happened around major price moves, but a single one is often just an early owner reorganising storage.
In words: every coin spent on a given day whose previous move was 10 years or more earlier, added up for that day. Our own Bitcoin node knows each coin's age the moment it moves, so this is a direct count โ not the change in the 10-year total, which hides real moves behind the coins that age into the group every day.
Every day shown was counted from the blockchain by our own node; days it has not counted yet are shown as unavailable, never filled in from another source.
A move **is not** a sale: an old owner shifting coins to a new wallet looks exactly the same on the blockchain.
Safu's own Bitcoin node. Every spent coin's age is known at the moment it moves; coins aged 10 years or more are summed per UTC day, for today by the hourly replay and for past days by walking the blockchain backwards.
