BTC Total Crypto Market Cap: $2.63T

Every coin's US-dollar value added up, as monthly candles since 2013 with the monthly RSI (14) underneath โ€” the whole-market chart traders watch as CRYPTOCAP:TOTAL. The last candle is the running month.

The US-dollar value of every coin in circulation, added up across the whole market โ€” the number TradingView shows as CRYPTOCAP:TOTAL. The top pane draws one candle per calendar month; the bottom pane is Wilder's RSI-14 of the month-end totals, a 0โ€“100 score of how one-sided the last 14 months have been.

A green candle means the market was worth more at the month's end than at its start. For example, a close at 2.6 T means all coins together were worth about 2.6 trillion dollars when the month ended. Monthly RSI above 70 has come near the tops of past cycles and below 30 near the deepest bottoms; it moves once a month, so it describes the trend of years, not of weeks. The last candle is the running month and keeps changing until the month closes.

Daily: the sum of the circulating market capitalisation (CapMrktCurUSD) of every asset Coin Metrics covers (135 coins in October 2026), stored once per UTC day. Monthly candle: open = the first daily total of the month, high and low = the highest and lowest daily totals, close = the last daily total. RSI: Wilder's 14-period relative strength index over the monthly closes, seeded with a simple average of the first 14 monthly changes.

Candle highs and lows are daily totals, not intraday extremes. The 135 assets are the whole market within about 0.2 % (checked against CoinGecko's total on 2026-10-29), so the long tail of tiny coins is missing. Coin Metrics publishes a day after it ends and revises recent days, so the newest daily total can be a day old. Not a forecast or financial advice.
