BTC BTC Digital Gold Search: 12

How often people worldwide typed "bitcoin digital gold" into Google, on a 0–100 scale — 100 is the busiest week we store. Bitcoin's price sits beside it so you can see whether the phrase heated up with the price.

Google's own measure of how much of worldwide web search that week was the phrase "bitcoin digital gold", rescaled so the busiest week in the stored window equals 100. A 0 means Google counted too few searches to publish a number, not that nobody searched.

Read it against the price. For example, the line sat near 0 for years, then jumped through the 50s and 80s in 2025 and hit 100 in early 2026 — that is many times the earlier quiet weeks, not a small wiggle.

A high reading means the "digital gold" story is being typed into Google. It does not say those people bought bitcoin, and it does not say the price has to follow.

Google Trends worldwide, web search, phrase "bitcoin digital gold", one number per completed week (0–100). We copy that week's number onto each of the seven UTC days so it lines up with daily bitcoin price. The week that is still running is left off.

The series begins 8 August 2021 (five years of weekly Trends). Google rescales the window, so the same week can show a different number if the window changes. Comparing this line with a different search phrase on the same 0–100 axis is misleading — "digital gold" alone is far more common and would squash this phrase to a flat zero.
