BTC Tokens Transferred: 31.5K
How many bitcoins moved across the blockchain each day, counted in coins. Coins sent back to the sender as change are left out.
The estimated number of bitcoins that genuinely changed hands that day. When you spend part of a chunk of bitcoin, the leftover comes back to you as change โ that change is stripped out here so it **does not** inflate the total.
Higher means more coins were actually moved that day. For example, 550,000 โฟ moved in a day is about 2.8% of every bitcoin in existence changing hands in 24 hours โ that is a busy day, and it usually happens around big price moves.
A single huge number can be one exchange reorganising its wallets rather than real economic activity.
Taken as blockchain.info publishes it. Their method tries to identify and remove the change returned to the sender, leaving **only** coins that genuinely moved on to someone else.
It is an estimate, not an exact count โ separating a real payment from change is guesswork, and the method occasionally gets it wrong. Coins moving between an exchange's own wallets count the same as a real payment.
