BTC Block Interval: 604.20
The average gap between one block and the next, in seconds. Bitcoin aims for about 600 seconds, which is 10 minutes. The line you see here is an example shape, not real data.
How many seconds passed on average between blocks on a given day. The target written into Bitcoin's rules is 600 seconds.
Under 600 seconds means blocks arrived faster than the 10-minute target; over 600 means slower. For example, 640 seconds means the average wait for a payment to get into a block was about 10 minutes 40 seconds that day, so transactions cleared a little slower than usual.
Because the numbers on this chart are made-up examples, do not read anything into the shape of this particular line.
It would be the seconds in a day (86,400) divided by the blocks found that day. No real numbers are being fed in at the moment.
This chart **is not** measuring anything right now: the plotted line is made-up example data, shown so you can see how the chart will look. The free feed that used to supply it was shut down and we have no replacement connected.
Do not use it for any decision.
