BTC Rainbow Chart: $79,676.63
Bitcoin's price drawn inside coloured bands that follow its long-term growth path. Cool colours near the bottom mean the price is low against that path; hot colours near the top mean it is high.
A picture of where today's price sits compared with the steady long-term path bitcoin's price has followed since 2010. The bands are that path, shifted up and down in equal steps and coloured from cold blue at the bottom to hot **red** at the top.
The colour sitting under the price line is the whole message. For example, if the price is in the blue-green band it is **below** its long-run path โ every past visit to those colours happened during a downturn, and each one was followed by a recovery in the years afterwards.
Deep red at the top has **only** happened close to past cycle peaks. These are bands drawn around history, not a forecast, and the price has spent long stretches outside them.
In words: we fit a single straight line through bitcoin's entire price history on a chart where each step up the axis means ten times the price, then draw nine coloured bands at even distances **above** and **below** that line.
The bands come from past prices, so they shift as new history arrives and are not fixed targets. Ours is fitted through the whole price history; other rainbow charts fit **only** the three halving-day prices, so the shapes are close but not identical.
