BTC Bitcoin Profitable Days: 92.26%
Out of every day in Bitcoin's history, what share would have left you in profit if you had bought that day and still held today.
The percentage of all past days on which buying bitcoin and holding it until now would show a gain at today's price.
For example, 97% means that across Bitcoin's roughly 5,800 days of price history, buyers on all but about 175 days are in profit today โ those 175 are the people who bought close to a peak. The share falls when the price falls, and it has **never** dropped **below** about 50%.
A high reading means today's price is near the top of Bitcoin's own history; a lower one means many past buyers are underwater.
In words: count the days in Bitcoin's price history whose closing price was **below** today's price, and divide by the total number of days, as a percentage.
It assumes a single purchase on one day and no selling, which **is not** how most people actually buy. It is measured against today's price **only**, so the entire line is rewritten every time the price moves.
