Counts how many of eight simple checks call Bitcoin cheap or expensive on the same day. Green bars up mean the cheap checks agree; red bars down mean the expensive ones do. The taller the bar, the more checks line up. History, not advice.
Eight yes-or-no checks run every day: four that have lined up near past bottoms and four that have lined up near past tops. The bar is how many cheap checks passed minus how many expensive ones did.
For example, a **green** bar of 3 means three of the four cheap checks agreed that day โ perhaps the price was under 0.8 times its 200-day average, miners were earning under half their yearly norm, and the price sat **below** its 200-week average. Bars of 4 in either direction are rare, and in past cycles they clustered within weeks of major turning points.
A bar of 0 means the checks disagree and the chart is telling you nothing.
In words: count the cheap checks that passed โ price under 0.8 times its 200-day average, miner earnings under half their 365-day average, price **below** the 200-week average, price in the bottom 5% of its long-term trend โ then subtract the expensive checks: price over 2.4 times the 200-day average, miner earnings over four times the yearly average, price over three times the 200-week average, and price in the top 5% of trend. The white line is bitcoin's price, for context.
All eight checks come from our own daily price record plus miner income, so every day is measured the same way; blockchain-based measures are deliberately left out because their shorter, patchier history would quietly change what the number means from one year to the next. The count needs about four years of earlier prices before it can start, so the line begins in 2014.
