BTC BEAM Oscillator: 0.305
How far bitcoin's price sits from its long-term growth path, squashed onto a 0-to-1 scale. Near 0 the price is historically cheap against that path; near 1 it is historically expensive.
A score from 0 to 1 measuring the distance between today's price and the steady growth path bitcoin has followed since 2010. Zero means the price is about as far **below** that path as it has ever been; one means about as far **above**.
For example, 0.15 means the price is deep below its long-run path โ every past visit to that zone happened during a downturn, and each was followed by a recovery in the years after. Above 0.75 the price is far **above** the path, which has **only** occurred near cycle peaks.
Zone lines are drawn at 0.25 and 0.75. Because the scale is built from Bitcoin's own past, it can only tell you what is unusual by Bitcoin's standards.
In words: fit a growth line through Bitcoin's whole price history on a chart where each step means ten times the price, measure how far today's price sits from that line, then rescale that distance so almost all of history falls between 0 and 1.
The original version of this measure keeps its exact construction private, so ours is an open equivalent โ the shape matches but the precise numbers may differ. The fit is recalculated as history grows, so old readings shift slightly over time.
