BTC Realized Price Momentum: 41.50%
How fast the average price bitcoin owners paid has changed over the last 30 days. Positive means real money is settling in at higher prices; negative means coins are changing hands at a loss. Every point shown is real up to the date on the badge above the chart.
The percentage change over 30 days in the average price at which all coins last changed hands. That average **only** moves when coins actually move, so this follows real money settling into the market rather than exchange noise.
For example, +4% over 30 days means the market's average purchase price rose 4% in a month, so new buyers are stepping in **above** the old cost. Negative readings mean coins are moving at prices **below** the old average, which happens when people sell at a loss.
In past cycles the turn from negative to positive came at the start of recoveries.
In words: today's average purchase price across all coins compared with the same figure 30 days ago, as a percentage change.
Every point on screen is real and complete up to the date on the badge **above** the chart. The outside feed that supplied them is switched off for good; our own Bitcoin node โ a full copy of the blockchain that we run ourselves โ is recounting this series from the very first block, and new points resume once that finishes.
It **cannot** tell you who is buying, and coins moved between one owner's own wallets are re-priced as though they had been bought.
bitcoin-data.com (BGeometrics) supplied every point on this chart, and each one is real up to the snapshot date shown. Safu switched that feed off for good because its licence does not let us republish the data, so no newer days and no older days will arrive from it โ no paid key and no purchased history are planned. Safu's own Bitcoin node is re-reading the blockchain from 2009 to rebuild this history. Feed no longer used.
