BTC Quiet Hands Write-Off: $134.71M
The daily dollar loss on bitcoin that sat still for at least 180 days before moving below its last-moved price, averaged over 30 complete days. These are coin movements, not proof of a sale or of a person giving up.
For each spent coin output at least 180 days old, compare the price on its creation day with the price on its spend day. Count only positive dollar losses. The main line averages the last 30 complete UTC days.
For example, 2 BTC last moved at $90,000 and moved again after 180 days at $80,000 contribute $20,000 of realized loss. A rising average means more loss is being recorded on these older outputs. It does not identify who sold or predict a bottom.
Daily loss = sum of BTC spent ร max(creation-day close โ spend-day close, 0), keeping outputs aged at least 180 ร 86,400 seconds. Main line = sum of the preceding 30 daily totals, including the current completed day, divided by 30. Every day must be measured. Real zero-loss days count; missing days and the unfinished current day do not.
180 days is Safu's age-band boundary, not another provider's 155-day definition. Address transfers may be self-transfers. Dollar values use daily closes, not execution prices. Recovered history begins in July 2026; no older loss history is claimed. A missing day withholds the average until a complete 30-day window is available.
Safu own-node output state and reverse block verification, with stored daily Bitcoin closes.
