BTC Shrimp Supply (<1 BTC): 1.39M
How much bitcoin sits in the smallest addresses โ those holding under 1 โฟ โ added together. This is where almost every newcomer starts.
The total bitcoin held in addresses whose current balance is **below** 1 โฟ. 'Shrimp' is simply the label for that size band.
This band grows when a great many small buyers add at once. For example, a rise from 1.75 million โฟ to 1.80 million โฟ over two months means about 50,000 โฟ flowed into the smallest wallets โ and since each holds under 1 โฟ, that represents an enormous number of separate buyers.
A **rising** shrimp band during a sell-off is the classic pattern showing that everyday buyers keep stacking while bigger owners sell.
Each day **our own Bitcoin node** adds up the current balance of every address holding less than 1 โฟ.
This counts addresses, not people, and it is padded by near-worthless leftovers worth a few cents plus the many small addresses exchanges use internally โ so read the direction rather than the exact total. Our node currently shows history from 2023 and fills in earlier years as it finishes recounting the blockchain from the first block.
