BTC Exchange Netflow (โฟ per day): -440.99
How many coins moved onto exchange wallets, or off them, in a single day. Positive means coins arrived on exchanges โ often, but not always, a step before selling. Negative means coins left for private wallets. A coin arriving at an exchange is not proof that anyone sold it. One bar per day, starting 19 August 2026.
Today's total on attested exchange addresses minus yesterday's total, in bitcoin (โฟ). A **positive** bar means the tracked exchange wallets ended the day holding more coins than they started with; a **negative** bar means they ended with fewer.
The first bar is **19 August 2026** โ one day after the balance series begins, because a change needs two stored days before it can exist at all.
**Positive = coins moving onto exchanges.** That is where selling has to happen, so a run of large positive days is worth noticing โ but it **is not** proof of selling, because exchanges also receive coins for safekeeping, as collateral, and from their own internal transfers.
**Negative = coins leaving for private wallets**, which is the harder thing to fake: someone paid a fee to take coins out of easy selling range.
For example, the bar for 4 September 2026 is about **โ864 โฟ**: by the end of that day the tracked exchange wallets held roughly 864 fewer coins than the day before, out of a pile of about 873,000 โ a small, ordinary day. **Read the run of bars, never one bar.**
Straight subtraction of two stored daily readings of Coins on Exchanges, computed when the chart is drawn rather than stored, so the two charts can **never** disagree.
Days are **only** compared when they are directly next to each other: if a daily snapshot is missed, the gap is skipped rather than spread across the missing day, because a two-day move drawn as one day's bar would be an invented number.
**The first bar is 19 August 2026 and the chart grows by one bar a day.** Nothing exists before that: this is the difference between two of our own stored snapshots, and the first snapshot is 18 August 2026. Deep history back to 2009 would need a full re-reading of the chain on our node, which has not been run and is not promised here.
Attested exchange addresses **only** โ a large sample, not every exchange wallet in existence. Movements between an exchange's own wallets can register as flow when nothing entered or left the company, and one big consolidation can dwarf a week of real user activity.
A coin arriving at an exchange **is not** proof that anyone sold it. One bar per day.
