BTC New Supply: 481.25
How many brand-new bitcoins were created on a given day. Miners get these as payment for adding blocks, and the amount is cut in half every four years.
The number of new bitcoins created that day and paid to miners. The rate is fixed by Bitcoin's rules โ currently about 450 new coins a day.
Read it as how much fresh supply lands on the market each day. For example, at about 450 โฟ per day, buyers have to absorb roughly 450 โฟ a day โ around $50 million at a $110,000 price โ just to keep the price level.
The line drops by half overnight at each halving, which is why people watch it; the next halving takes daily new supply to about 225 โฟ. Small day-to-day wobbles are just luck in how many blocks got found.
Taken as blockchain.info publishes it. It works out as the number of blocks found that day multiplied by the fixed reward per block, which has been 3.125 โฟ since April 2024.
This is new coins **only** โ it **does not** include coins that already existed and were sold by their owners. Because blocks are found at random, a lucky day with a few extra blocks shows a higher number without anything having actually changed.
