BTC ETF Flows: $0
How many dollars went into (green) or out of (red) the American spot Bitcoin funds on each trading day. Long green streaks mean big institutions were buying; heavy red days mean they were selling.
The net dollars the American spot Bitcoin ETFs took in or paid out on a given trading day, all funds added together. **Positive means** more money came in than went out; **negative means** the reverse.
A **green** bar of a billion dollars is roughly what the whole Bitcoin network mines in three weeks at today's issuance, so a single day like that soaks up far more than the market produces. Red days cluster around sharp price drops โ the funds **only** sell when their investors cash out.
Read the size against the recent bars, not against zero: a $70m day inside a run of $500m days is a stall, even though it is still green.
The source publishes one row per US trading day with a column per fund and a Total; we store that Total in dollars, unchanged, and draw it as one bar per day. We also store IBIT, FBTC and GBTC separately, and derive an 'everything else' column so the parts always add back to the published Total โ a read where they do not is rejected instead of stored.
Dollars, not coins: the same bar height buys very different amounts of bitcoin at different prices. One point per US TRADING day โ weekends and US market holidays have no bar at all rather than a zero bar โ and each day's figure **only** appears the evening after that day's close, so the newest bar is one business day back.
Flows are money moving in and out of the funds, which is **not the same** as those funds buying or selling bitcoin on the exact same day.
