Open contracts by expiry
When do the outstanding options expire?
Each bar groups options by the day their contracts end. Open interest counts the underlying coin amount still covered by outstanding options on Deribit.
Large expiries can be worth watching alongside spot activity. For example, an expiry covering 1,000 BTC is twice the contract exposure of one covering 500 BTC, but it does not predict buying or selling on that day.
Sum open interest by expiry timestamp and call/put type. USD notional uses the current Deribit index price, not premiums paid. All expiry labels use UTC.
Deribit only; no historical series or dealer-position inference. Current active instruments only. Not a price prediction.
Deribit production public API: instrument metadata, market summaries and index price.
