BTC ETH/BTC Ratio: 0.033
How much bitcoin one ether buys. Rising means money is rotating out of BTC and into ETH; falling means the opposite. The number every exchange quotes as the ETHBTC pair.
Ether's daily close divided by bitcoin's daily close on the same day. A ratio of 0.03 means one ether is worth three hundredths of a bitcoin.
For example, 0.029 means it takes about 34 ether to buy one bitcoin. When the line rises, ether is beating bitcoin regardless of what either does in dollars - a falling market where this rises still means you would rather have held ETH.
This is the honest scoreboard between the two largest coins, and it ignores the dollar entirely.
ratio = ETH daily close divided by BTC daily close, matched on the same calendar day
A ratio says nothing about whether you made money. Both coins can fall while this rises. Read it alongside the rebased chart, which shows the dollar outcome.
